The Greene County Cattlemen will hold the annual banquet and trophy auction Saturday, March 1, at the Elks lodge in Jefferson. Koster Grinding Inc and Koster Grain Inc will sponsor a social time beginning at 6 pm, with the rib-eye steak dinner to be served at 6:30.
The trophy auction will follow the meal and numerous door prizes will be awarded.
Money raised at the annual banquet and trophy auction will go toward the many projects supported by the Greene County Cattlemen throughout the year. The Cattlemen continue to support a number of 4-H and youth activities, Heart Smart promotions and other extensive beef promotions at the county, state and national levels. The Cattlemen may also be seen throughout the county doing various cookouts.
Tickets for the annual banquet and trophy auction can be purchased at the Greene County Extension office or from any of the following directors: Mike Holden, Steve Kennedy, Doug Lawton, Dave Tipton, Tom Lawton, Pat Fields, Nick Crouse, Mike Ostendorf, Roger Rowles, Mick Towers or Tom Heun. Tickets will also be available that evening at the door. The public is welcome to attend.
